Foo Ming Sheng

Game Designer & Developer

I am a passionate game developer and a student in the SIT-DigiPen joint program, bringing a strong foundation in C++ and hands-on experience building games with Unity and C#.

My journey as a lifelong gamer began with the classics of Nitrome and Miniclip and has followed the industry's evolution through Steam to today. This experience solidified my core belief that games are about creating fun, and my goal is to use my technical and design skills to build joyful, memorable experiences for gamers.

My Education and Experiences

Education

Singapore Institute of Technology – DigiPen Institute of Technology

  • BS in Computer Science in Interactive Media & Game Development (Expected Aug 2027)

Ngee Ann Polytechnic

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Graduated May 2021)

Engineering Intern | TÜV SÜD (Sep 2020 - Feb 2021)

  • Gained hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment, applying precise technical skills in equipment calibration and standardized IP/IK testing while developing key teamwork and communication abilities.

Experiences

Data Entry Clerk | Healthway Medical Group (Dec 2017 - Mar 2018)

  • Developed strong attention to detail and organizational skills while managing and processing sensitive patient data with accuracy.

A selection of games and research projects where I designed, programmed, and tested systems ranging from custom-built engines to AI-driven mechanics. Each project reflects my passion for creating fun, technically robust gameplay experiences.

My Projects

—————————

TeraGrowth

A relaxing terrarium simulator built from scratch in just 48 hours for the Spring 2D Jam '25.

—————————

Goblin Scoops

Goblin Scoops is a fast-paced arcade action game built for a Jame Gam #48. The concept is a humorous dream-world battle where a police officer, who fell asleep eating ice cream, must defeat a dream-invading goblin using only their dessert as a weapon.

—————————

Shroomy Doomy

A 2D tile-based strategy game with cooking mechanics, built to showcase a custom engine developed by Team Fruitloops. Inspired by “Dungeon Meshi,” players take on the role of a mushroom father venturing into a dungeon to rescue his children, cooking dishes from monster parts to gain powerful upgrades.

My Researches

Explorations in game AI and systems design.

Beyond game projects, I also work on research exploring the intersection of AI and gameplay systems. These projects focus on technical experimentation, academic analysis, and how new technologies can shape future game design.

Exploring ChatGPT for Quest Systems in Unity

Explored whether Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT can generate structured quests in Unity games. Ran 3,600+ automated trials across multiple models — uncovering strong prototyping potential, but key reliability and scalability limits.
